Misty Elliott is the Chief Operating and Financial Officer at Industrial Finishing Services, Inc. She joined the IFS team in 2018 and has 15 years of experience in finance, operations and continuous improvement. Misty’s technical ability to tie finance and operations together gives IFS a unique advantage from a leadership perspective. Misty’s passion is developing high performing teams and turning managers into leaders. Her leadership philosophy is that of a servant leader, focused primarily on the growth of her team and community.

Misty graduated Summa Cum Laude from Minnesota State University of Moorhead with her B.S. in Accounting in 2006. She earned her Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma in 2016. In the vein of servant leadership, Misty believes strongly in giving back to the community, in particular supporting women and children. She has served as the Treasurer for both the Boys & Girls Club of Perham and Lakes Crisis and Resource Center in Detroit Lakes and as a board member for the Boys & Girls Club of Detroit Lakes.

In Misty’s spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and their four young children. Together they enjoy traveling, golfing, skiing, hiking and spending as much time as possible at the lake in the summer months. Misty also enjoys scuba diving whenever she gets the chance and hopes to one day enjoy this activity with the entire family.
